Since Lent is upon us, and Michael and Evan are Catholic, we observe "no meat" Fridays (ok - well, Mike does - Evan's a little young yet). For the last two Friday nights, we've had meatless pizza (which is ok with me since I only eat red meat once a month anyway). Here are some pictures of our picnic on the family room carpet last week. Please notice Evan's lemonade in his Murphy's koozie. This part was done on his own, which makes Mike proud, since Murphy's is a bar outside of Wrigley Field in Chicago.

Ryder is observing Meatless Fridays, too. I told Matt that technically he does not have to because of his age, but he really doesn't eat any meat on a normal day...so it isn't much of a sacrifice for him to do it on Fridays.
