The Stair Master

I picked him up from the babysitter a couple of weeks ago and was informed that Evan C. Connors is now a stair climber. He wasn't even 7 months old yet! We got it on tape last night at bedtime.

1st Haircut

Evan got his first official haircut from my grandma. Evan's Great-Grandma Peggy did the honors. The high and tight is soon to follow.

Havin' a drink with a friend

We went up to see Mike's buddy from college and beyond this weekend. Their youngest is 3 months older than Evan; they had a drink together, much like their dads liked (and still like) to do. It's no Hooples or the fraternity house, but the kitchen floor will have to do (for now).

Little man is crawling and jabbering non-stop these days. It's fun!

Peek A Boo

Evan loves Peek A Boo. He plays a lot with his dad. Mike popped up from behind the couch the other night and it scared Evan so much he stuck out his lower lip and started crying. We decided Peek A Boo near bedtime may not be the best idea anymore.

The Bargain Paci

We've tried every pacifier sold, and Evan has liked them all. His favorite, however, is the $2.00 CVS "Teething" paci. My students threw me a shower last year and I received a package of the CVS pacifiers. They are ugly, but Evan digs them - upsided down in this picture. The nice part is that when the paci goblin takes them away, CVS is about a 1/2 mile from our house.

New Tubby Seat

Evan was trying to roll over in the bathtub on his baby sponge, so thanks to a friend for advice on a new tubby seat, he can now sit up and splash the heck out of everything.

Auntie Alea

We went up to Fort Wayne to visit my friend, Alea, and her husband, who were in town from Florida for Christmas. Evan and Alea played like old buddies.

Christmas

Evan was a good boy at Christmas. He slept through all of his cool presents at Grandma Mary's and he gave up after 2 presents at home on Christmas Day. His favorite gift was a Snoopy snow globe that we'll probably be playing in May. Here is a picture of him wearing a new outfit from Grandma Mary and playing with his toy from Papa and Grammie. :-)

6 Month Check-up

Evan had his 6 month check-up on the 21st. He weighs 17 lbs and 4 oz., which is the 50%ile for babies his age. He is 27-1/4 inches long, which is 80%ile for babies his age. The biggest surprise was his head! It is 18 inches around - which is 90%ile for babies his age. It must be all of his brains making that dome so big! :-)

A few events...

Evan hung out with his friend, Alex, a couple of times over Winter Break. They're BFF. She's 16 days older that he is and he's ok with that. Look at those eyes on her; she's beautiful.
