Doin' a Little Light Cleaning

Evan likes the Swiffer, so I took out one of the extensions and made it just his size. He'll roll around the kitchen floor with it now (I'll put a cloth on the bottoms sometimes too). :-)

Yay for Brownies!

Our Evan has his parents' sweet tooth. This is the aftermath of the brownie (with frosting) I gave him after he ate his meat sticks and carrots last night. We had tubby time a little later to clean up the areas the washrag didn't get.

Books

I keep forgetting to blog about this. Back in August I was straightening up Evan's big book bin. I came across the title, Understanding America: Episodes in the American Past 1607-1865. Evan had grabbed it from our wall-to-wall bookshelf in our den and added it to his books. We leave it there for him just in case he wants to do a little light reading some time. ;-)

Tough Guy

No picture of this one - but Evan and I got our flu shots today. No big deal, they got me first and then I hung onto Evan and they stuck him in the leg. He cried for about 5 seconds (literally) and was fine. We did have paci (his pacifier) broken out for the occasion, but whatever. Paci rules and my kid didn't cry even though the big kids did. Evan rules too!

Pumpkin Patch - Year 2

We went back to the same pumpkin patch from last year. Evan and his entourage had a great time (Auntie, Amanda, Mommy, and Daddy). It was warm and busy this year. Evan was really interested in all there was to do too! We may try other patches next year, when he's older, but this one was just his speed. :-)

Go Irish!

Here is Evan doing his Touchdown motions. He starts with one arm and eventually brings the other one up. Of course he brings it down way too quickly for the camera. Bear down!


Evan has found a garage for his school bus and fire truck in the computer box. Toys are lame. Boxes are more fun.
Evan can reach the countertops and tabletops now. Notice the shoes. When he's finished with something, he'll put it on the countertop just like Mom and Dad do.

Jabber

Evan has a few words like Mom, Dad, Da-da (Grandpa), Tah (Auntie), Dog, Chee (Cheese), Crk (Crackers), Yeah, No, etc., - but verbal would not be a way to describe the busy little bee right now. His words will come - but for now, he just jabbers and it's kinda cute. One day we won't be able to get him to stop talking, so we're enjoying the Evanics.
