We've had quite a week already, and it's only Thursday night. We started off on Sunday with Thanksgiving at Grandma Mary's house. Evan had fun playing with her stash of old school Little People. He came down with a cold that day, so he and I stayed home on Monday. On Tuesday, Miss Alea (my friend) came to visit and play. On Wednesday Papa came to visit and play (and spend the night). We made Papa's day by putting Evan in his Purdue hoodie. Thanksgiving was at our house, and Evan's still sick. We had some grumpy moments, but he had a good day. :-)

Glasses, Jammies, and Rocky
*Evan got some glasses from me the other day. The fundraiser from my school gave out the "prizes" (the junk) and a student gave me a pair of glasses for Evan.
*I bought him a Rocky shirt at Target a couple of weeks ago - here he is wearing it. Mike loves this shirt on him.
*I couldn't resist taking a picture of him in his "mayner/creamy" (Mater and McQueen) Cars jammies.
Dairy Farm
Evan and I went to an organic dairy farm last Saturday morning. I've had some of their products before, and they're ok, but the tour we went on (the self-guided one) was a bust. You'll see Evan in the middle of the dirt road in the pictures. That's because I told him not to step in the poop (and there were electric fences all over the place). He kept saying, "No step in the poopy!" and walking really slowly and carefully. He still managed to step in some, but at least he tried not to. :-)

A & E
Alex and Evan - they're buddies. Alex came to hang out the other night for a couple of hours because her mom and dad both had to work. Evan and Alex played tools, checked on Alex's baby "Bee," did puzzles, read books, watched Elmo and "Snoopy Turkey" (A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving), played blocks, did flashcards, ate dinner, had a snack, played cars, and played little people amongst other things. (Did I mention this was all in about 3 hours time?) They usually do a really good job playing together. Evan was a little reluctant to share, but Alex can hold her own with him. He ran off with a basket of little people at one point, and just as I opened my mouth to tell him to come back, she yelled, "Share Evan Charles!" It was the cutest thing.

Doin' Work
Sleeping Beauties
I had to get up to go to a conference yesterday morning, but Mike and Evan were still in bed for another 45 minutes or so. Evan had had a bad dream in the middle of the night, so he slept in between us for the last couple hours of the night.
I don't have any pictures of Evan sleeping because in case you didn't know, he didn't sleep all night until he was about 18 months old. He still wakes up 1-2 times a week in the middle of the night, but it's much simpler these days. Anyhoo, I never took pictures because the old adage, "Let sleeping dogs lie," would always come into my head. :-)

Halloween
We took Evan to his godparents' house yesterday for Halloween. It just so happens that they live about 8 blocks from the governor of Indiana. We stopped by there, got some yummy candy from all over Indiana, and then made our way back to their house stopping at about 20 houses on the way. These houses aren't usually hot spots for trick-or-treaters, so they gave Evan handfuls when we stopped by. He would yell, "Treat!" and then "Thanks Friend!" when we were finished. It was a lot of fun.
