Spitting

Spitting is an art. I hope in a few short years I can teach my sweet son how to get some distance. In the meantime, he's learning the basics. ;-)

Sinky Time!

Because Evan's skin gets dry and nasty if he has tubby time every day, on off days we have sink time. Here are a few shots of Evan gettin' stuff wet.

Lord Helmet

Mike thought Evan looked like Lord Helmet from the movie Spaceballs today when he was wearing a batting helmet. It is kinda funny.

I worked hard for this purple goatee.

Evan had a grape popsicle at Miss Melba's house the other day. His little purple beard was so cute. :-)

Preparing for Bachelorhood Early

Evan ate Apple Jacks for dinner the other night. This was his first go-round with cereal and milk together; he did a great job! :-)

A Place for Everything...

and Everything in Its Place. Evan has learned to take off his hat, jacket, and shoes when he gets home. He even hangs up his coat all by himself.

Easter Sunday Fun

Down the slide all by himself; he even went head first down the biggest slide.
Eating his favorite - cheese and crackers (the prepackaged kind) after church.

The Easter Bunny knows Evan well. Baseballs, chocolate and trucks - fun!

Cars and other loot from Papa and Mimi.

Just what Evan needs - a target to throw at.

I'm just trying to help the ball club.

No lollygagging here. Evan's 1 and already out workin' on the field.

(Not that any of you who know Connors ever doubted this....)

Dipping chips

in ketchup rules! (Mommy, Joey and Auntie Marcy are all so proud!) :-)

Couch on the Couch

Mike put Evan's Wiggles couch on our couch while he was sweeping this morning. Evan thought that was awesome.

Easter Balloon

I stopped at Kroger yesterday to pick up a couple of things, and I saw this balloon in the floral department. I brought it home for Evan and he went crazy playing with it. He says, "bawooo!" every time we're at the store, so I figured he'd love it. (He's always loved balloons.)

What doesn't he eat?

Eggs, cottage cheese, chicken fingers, and potato salad (but he'll give them a shot if they're on your plate first). Here are a couple of pictures of Evan eating guacamole (I was about 29 before I would eat it).

Cupcakes and Milk

I made practice cupcakes for a cook-out yesterday. I was practicing for Evan's 2nd birthday cake (in June). I made Cookie Monster cupcakes. Evan liked them. He even grabbed the milk from Mike today after he'd had a bite of cupcake and pretended to take a drink. I wonder where he learned this lovely habit??? Possibly from his dad??? I live in a house with boys.

Dad, you could use a little help.

Evan likes to make sure Mike does stuff correctly.

Bay-bee

We were moving our old bed this morning to make room for our new bed. Evan found Auntie's old Cabbage Patch Dolls in one of the boxes under the bed. He said, "Bay-bee!" and picked up the little guy that looks like him. He was giving his baby a drink today from the big boy cup.

A Visit to the Country

Evan and I met my grandma (Evan's Great Grandma Peggy) at my Great Aunt and Uncle's (Evan's Great Great Aunt Donnie and Great Great Uncle Ernie) house today. We played outside on the farm. It was so windy today and I forgot Evan's hat; we had to stop at the mall along the way and we bought the last stocking cap to protect Evan's ears. Evan's favorite was going up and down the ramp. It was a fun time in the wide open spaces. :-)
