24 month doctor visit
I took Evan to the doctor for his 2 year check up today. No shots today (thank goodness)! Evan is 36 inches tall, which is the 90th percentile for boys his age. He weighs 31 pounds, which is the 85th percentile for boys his age. The doctor said he is a good, healthy size and she has no worries because he's met all of his developmental milestones for his age. Hooray!
The pictures of Evan are from today. (I hate posting without a picture.) He's wearing his "Life is Good" shirt that Mimi (my mom) got him for his birthday.

Cook-outs
The best part of summer is cook-outs with friends. Even better than that is cook-outs with friends that have two-year-olds. No offense whatsoever to our friends that are not thinking about kids, thinking about kids, have babies or have older kids, but the two year old is where we are. Their houses are toddler-proofed, their toys are awesome, and there's a built-in buddy for Evan to play with. We went to a "Father's Day" cook-out today and had a great time. Evan got his mack on with a couple of ladies that are a tad older than he is. A great day!
Touch a Truck
The parks department put on this great program where kids can explore all kinds of vehicles (dump trucks, recycling trucks, cement trucks, taxi cabs, race cars, fire engines, etc.,). Evan and I met some friends there and had a great time. It was a super-hot day though. The air wasn't moving, so we got pretty toasty.

Mom, did you know these unroll?
So I was in the living room cleaning up blocks and it got VERY quiet in the family room (not too far away). I got up and looked for Evan. He was in the kitchen. He had opened the pantry doors and found the paper towels. So, we fought over them, I tore them up sheet by sheet, and I placed them where our towel roll goes. Evan thought we should've torn them to shreds and left them on the kitchen floor.
