Stories with Papa

My dad had knee surgery yesterday. Evan couldn't figure out why Papa wasn't on the floor playing with him. Evan will actually sit still if you read him books, so Dad propped him up on his lap and they read the same 6 or 7 book 3 or 4 times.

The First Zoo Visit

Evan and I headed up to meet our friends at the zoo the other day. My friend's boys are so sweet. They made Evan laugh and laugh and laugh. They also wanted him in their picture with the statue. Evan wasn't as impressed with the zoo as he was with his new friends. :-)

The Piano Man

Evan likes to play the piano in our living room. Mike and I don't know how to play, maybe sweet Evan will get lessons some day. :-)

Evan has played in the pool at home and at Grammie and Papa's house recently. He's a busy little bee. In and out and back in again seems to be his favorite thing to do.

Climb Time!

Evan climbed up on the recliner in the family room all by himself last weekend. Then he decided he should rock in it...standing up. His friends Jake and Livi are climbers/scalers; he's trying to keep up.

Fish and Cookies

Evan ate an interesting lunch today: sliced cheese, herb & butter marinated orange roughy, cheddar & broccoli mashed potatoes, and a chocolate dipped Oreo cookie. He has no idea that many people would say, "Ew," to that combination.

Evan loves dancing to music. In fact, if he's having a tantrum (yes, sweet little Evan does that), we'll turn on some music, and he seems to forget why he was mad.

Busted Camera

Our camera broke. Apparently, several models of Canon cameras have a malfunction in the lens that Canon says isn't their fault. Our video camera takes still shots, but I have to figure it out. Pictures to follow, when we get a new camera, or when I figure out new-to-me technology.

We took Evan to his homeland, the University of Notre Dame, on Friday to give him some insight into his Irish Catholic heritage.
