The boys!

My friend, Meagan, and her sons came to see us on Monday. We went to the Children's Museum and had a great day. Evan loved being with her sons, but he couldn't say their names very well, so he called them "The boy-ees." Here's a video of him talking about the boys today.

Evan's Words

Evan has some words that don't quite come out clearly, but they are adorable.

"money" = banana
"berj-her" = burger
"fwies" = fries
"puh-puh" = pillow
"poppy" = pacifier
"pah-pah" = Papa
"dee-dee" = drink

We were driving to swim lessons at 8:45 in the morning last week and Evan says, "Mom. I berj-her fwies." I said to him, "You want to eat a burger and fries?" He says, "Yah." It was the funniest thing. He had to wait about a week for his berjher fwies, but I got it on tape.

Evan's Room - Before and After

Evan got an updated room this week. We took down the baby blue and baby Snoopy and put up navy blue and beige along with some sports stuff. He loves the helmet pennants on his wall. :-)

This Look

If you know Mike, you know this look is all him. It's a look I try to avoid because it's a "I'm not so happy with you" look. Luckily, Evan was giving this look for no apparent reason yesterday. :-)

Maxin' and Relaxin'

Here's Evan in a common pose for him. I check on him at night in his room, and he'll be sleeping with his arms like this. It's funny.

Pizza and Orange Juice

Evan had frozen pizza with his Dad and Logan last night, so he knew it was in the fridge this morning. He went to the fridge and said, "Mom. Piece." That means, "Mom, I'd like a piece of pizza." He used to say the word "toppy" when he meant pizza; it was so cute. Evan's Auntie has taught him how to do cheers with drinks. We did cheers this morning; he thinks that's the best thing. Pizza and orange juice - the breakfast of champions. ;-)

Evan and his Parents

We actually took pictures of each other with Evan this week. (It's usually me taking pictures of Evan with Mike.) They're not fantastic or anything, but they're pictures. :-)

Evan's t-shirt

Evan's Grandma Mary got him a t-shirt when they went to Disney World last month. They made it just for him and it says, "Evan: Always on the go!" It is a little too small already, so I was sure to get a picture of him in it the first time he wore it.

God's Country

We took Evan to Notre Dame again this week. We were running short on time, so we didn't go anywhere but the bookstore. He's all geared up for football season though. He has "The Shirt" and he's even wearing it today.

Darth Evan

Evan got his hands on some Star Wars toys this weekend at a buddy's house.

More!

Papa was tickling Evan when they were playing the other day. Evan walked away and came back for more. Evan can't get enough of his Papa.

SPICY!!!!

Evan Connors loves the heat! He eats salsa with a spoon when we're out to eat at El Rodeo. He also inhales my Spanish rice when we're out, so I decided to get some rice for him at the store yesterday. We picked up a few packets including a Cajun-style Dirty Rice. It has a little zing to it. Evan loved it.

Baseball Glove

Mike and Evan put on their gloves and play catch. Evan thinks his glove should go on his right hand since he's right-handed. He also tries to pick up the ball with his glove. It's cute.

Hot Wheels Track

Evan got a Hot Wheels track from his cousins for his birthday. Mike has been setting up all kinds of courses. Here is what they set up today - notice the yellow car in mid-air. Flying cars are the best part.

Brownie

Ever since Evan's pals came over for his birthday party, he has been more interested in his horse "Brownie." His buddies each had a turn on Brownie, so Evan has decided Brownie's cool.
