Tuttle's Orchard

We went to Tuttle's today with Mimi and Papa. It didn't last long, but it only cost $2 and then Mimi and Papa bought even a "bergher and fwies" from McDonald's for lunch. :-)

Big Boy

He's grown so much and here's Evan next the apple board growth chart in fall 2007, 2008 and 2009 at Tuttle's to prove it. :-)

Saturday Morning Dishes

Evan was helping me do the dishes not too long after we got up this morning. Do you love his dinosaur jammies with his Lightening McQueen socks?

Evan's Drive-In

Wow. Only 4 pictures got taken this week. The school year will do that though. One of us usually doesn't get home with Evan (the other one is usually later) until after 4 or so, and then we hit the ground running with dinner, tubby, and bedtime. Evan's usually in bed at 7:15 (at the latest) so it doesn't leave a whole lot of time for photographic moments. Being a full-time working family is hard (and sad sometimes when Evan's asleep so early in the evenings). I know some of you have been there or are there now, and let me tell you - you inspire me. :-)

Here is Evan on Friday night. We were watching Disney's Cars (surprise) and he was sitting in his Cozy Coupe (I think that's what it's called).

Daddy's Teams

Evan dressed up like Daddy this weekend to support the Irish and the Bears. (The Bears jersey is over his jammies since they play too late for Evan tonight.)

Friday Night Picnic

Mike was at the Cubbies game on Friday, so Evan and I had a picnic in the living room with our burgers and fries while we watched Disney's Cars.

Pizza Night!

Here are pics of Evan on our most recent pizza night. He went to town on his cheese pizza.

Baking with Mom

Evan likes to watch stuff bake in the oven. We turn the light on, he puts on oven mitts and then he says, "Hot. Don' touch."

Sweetie Pie

Here are pictures of my sweetie pie today. We had a great day sleeping in, running errands, taking naps and watching, "Cars TV," (Disney's Cars). Notice the green shorts in one of the pictures. He's ready for bed there. I compromised and didn't make him change his shirt since it wasn't a tubby night and it's his favorite.

That's why...

...it's 67 degrees inside the house. (Just kidding.) We moved the couch a couple of months ago, so now Evan can reach the thermostat and he's a junkie for a good button to push.

Go Irish!

Evan's cousins came over to watch the Irish game on Saturday. Daddy and Evan even wore matching shirts for the occasion.

Dad is a jungle gym

Evan loves to hop on pop and play. Mike likes a good back rub - even if it is haphazard.

Spontaneously without clothes

Now that Evan can take off his own clothes, we often find him sans a shirt or shorts or diaper some times. Sigh. Yet another of his phases. He usually says, "Tubby!" when I ask him why his clothes are off, so at least he has a purpose. I edited the picture, but here he is perusing the fridge (that he can open on his own) for his milk without clothes....let's just hope this phase passes and he doesn't turn into a streaker.
