What???
This is one of Reid's most common faces. It's stinkin' cute because he looks shocked about whatever is going on.

Who Needs Tonsils Anyway?
Before surgery at Mimi's birthday party.
Right after surgery - watching the Phineas & Ferb marathon in recovery.
A few days later - sitting at the table & showing improvement.
Mornings were the worst after bad, sleepless, painful nights.
Today! Playing in the toy room. No more pain killers!
Evan had 5-6 rounds of Strep Throat this year from the end of January to the beginning of June. The trip in the middle of the night to the emergency room in June was the last straw. His ENT decided it was time for those pesky tonsils and adenoids to come out. We scheduled it for right after vacation and before school started. Oh boy, has this been a rough 2 weeks on all parties. We were very thankful for the timing of Evan's surgery since school doesn't start until this week. There were a lot of nights of lost sleep, tears, puke, and pain. It would have been a rough go if even one of us was back in school.

Washington, D.C.
After our week-long vacation to Disney World, we drove on up to Washington, D.C., so Mike could attend a conference he was invited to by C-Span. We got there 2 days early, and saw the sights. Of course it was when temperatures were 100+ degrees...we still had the sit and stand stroller we borrowed from friends for Disney World, so Mike and I put on our walking shoes and pushed the kids along. We figured out Mike and I walked 12+ miles easy - - but we saw the Smithsonians (Air & Space, Natural History, & American History), The Newseum, The White House, Blair House, The National Mall which included the Lincoln Memorial, Korean War Memorial, Vietnam Memorial, Reflecting Pool (under construction), World War II Monument, Washington Monument (also under construction), and Capitol Hill (with several smaller parks and statues of honor along the way). Many called us crazy - - - and it wasn't always easy - - - but what kind of parents don't give their kids the chance to see the nation's capital when the opportunity presents itself? :)
Cozy Coupe Makeover
BEFORE
AFTER
Evan was given our Cozy Coupe when he was 1. Friends of ours had kids that outgrew it and gave it away. We've changed the tires on it (with wheels from another Cozy Coupe - - it was purple - - girl colors), but we haven't spent a dime on it. We decided it had seen better days when Reid fell in love with it, but it was still in good condition - just ugly. After trolling Pinterest last week, I saw a picnic table makeover and thought we could probably apply the same idea to the Cozy Coupe. We did! Rustoleum sells spray paint that goes on plastic. We taped it off and took a few days to let everything dry (it's crazy humid here right now). Success! :)
