Evan has recently discovered popcorn. We kept it away from him for a long time because it was shelled, and he was quite the choker for a while. We went to Target today and got a small bag for $1.08 (quite a deal for a small I might add). We ate about half of it together at Target and then I put him in the car to go home. Because I had worked all day, talked to hundreds of people, and just plain didn't think about it, I let him hold the bag (not thinking about his fondness of emptying containers). About halfway home he emptied the popcorn bag. I told him he was going to have to sit in his seat until it got cleaned up when we got home. As I was surveying the damage at home I said to myself, "Oh Evan, what did you do." He replied with, "I throw corn Mom." Ah the joys of having a child that listens and responds. I couldn't help but laugh at that. Times like this are actually a blessing. :-)

We get the popcorn every trip to Target...and a lemonade because it makes R thirsty! Makes my shopping trips so pleasant! I just have them fill the bag half-way full. I'm not tempted to snack on it this way, there are less spills and he finishes it all! On the plus side, at least "he threw Corn Mom" all onto a blanket that you could just pull out and dump! You are right, they are a Blessing!
