Evan likes order.

So Evan's most recent activity (when he's not playing with Matchbox cars) is lining up the contents of the pantry. It is the funniest thing. We tell him to be careful because he drops those cans non-stop, but he got his toe pretty good last spring when he was just holding a can. I think he remembers (since his toenail fell off!). It's a battle that really doesn't bother us, so we don't fight it. He added potatoes to the mix the other day - it was hysterical.

By the way, I know I've been slacking in my posts, but I have several good reasons as to why:
1. Evan is fast; by the time I get my camera, turn it on and snap the picture, I get a blur of a blonde boy running away.
2. School has started, so he spends most of his waking hours at his second home (Miss Melba's house). Sometimes she takes pictures for us - she's good at it too. :-)
3. Evan is interested in the "cheese." (That's what he calls the camera when I have it.) He thinks he's grown and that he should be the one taking the pictures.
4. I just don't think of it some days - like the other day when he was clearly not ready for bed and he yelled, "Mom-mee!" for 30 minutes straight. When I went up to get him for a few minutes, not only had he thrown everything out of his crib (and there's quite a lot), he had taken off his jammies AND his diaper. (I think we may have a little Frank the Tank on our hands one day.) :-)
