Evan had a rough week missing his mom and dad since we were both at school. He loves Miss Melba, and he was her shadow all week long. We thought because he was tired and grumpy and going to bed with a fuss each night that he'd be too tired to go to the hot air balloon race at the Indiana State Fair today. We put him to bed last night (after a fuss or two) and we decided unless he woke up on his own by 6:00, we wouldn't go. :-( At 5:45 this morning, I heard, "Mom-mee!" several times. We got up, got ready and were out the door at 6:15 headed downtown to the fairgrounds. We pulled into the free parking lot by the grandstand where the balloons were launching and we saw 30 hot air balloons take off and fly away. Evan loved it, and we had a lot of fun. Since it was only 7:30 by the time we were finished, we decided we had time to go to breakfast before Mike's grad. school class (he's getting an administor's license to his masters degree) at 9. What a fun morning!
