Here's spiky-haired Reid at Disney World in early July. The spiky hair is due to gobs and gobs of sunscreen. It was HOT & sunny! (It was so hot I vowed never to go in the summer again.)
Here is Evan on his first ride at Disney World. We went on Spaceship Earth - which is what is inside the big ball at Epcot. He was so excited!
This was on my birthday. Mike and I had been awake since 6 the day before. It's about 9 am here at Epcot.
Evan loved posing for this photo at Downtown Disney. He thought it was cool. :)
The $2. train ride was one of the highlights of our entire trip to Disney World. He got the caboose all to himself.
Once we were in D.C. (on the HOTTEST weekend of the year - - just after July 4), we walked 9+ miles all over the mall in one day. Evan was a trooper (he rode a little too), so we let him dip his feet in one of the fountains.
Sweet Reid was a trooper in the heat. He just sat and chilled in the stroller.
Air conditioning! We were below the Lincoln Memorial checking out some of the information.
We took a stroll around Capitol Hill since our hotel was only a few blocks away. Of course, smiley Reid made friends with the police. :)
Evan was enthralled with the Washington Monument. We could see it from wherever we were. He wanted to get a picture. :)
Mike takes his students to this spot - probably 1/4-1/2 mile away from the Capitol for the photo op. Evan was obliged to sit for his.
While Mike was in meetings, I took the boys to the Air & Space Smithsonian. We walked past the Capitol once more and Evan took our picture in front of the Library of Congress. He said, "I only got a little bit of my finger in the picture."
Evan started school on the sixth,
and Reid got shots (notice his thighs) on the sixth. :(
Captain America is big stuff at this house. (So are Buzz Lightyear blasters.)
I asked Reid if he was a dog. He just kept that ball in his mouth and nodded his head.
This was from this morning. Here is Reid about 5 minutes after he woke up. He's such a doll all of the time...even when he first wakes up. (He does NOT get that from me.)
Here's Evan about 90 minutes after he woke up. If I took his picture 5 minutes after he woke up, we'd see an ugly face. He needs time. (He DOES get that from me.)
I won this M&Ms dispenser at a staff meeting yesterday morning. (Well, I really won a big, like 3 pound bag of M&Ms, but I traded because I new Evan would LOVE this.)
I downloaded pictures from my camera today. I haven't done that since June! Here are the highlights of the past 2 and a half months.
