Reid is 4 months old now. It's amazing how 4 months of a baby's life goes by so quickly when 4 months of pregnancy trudged on forever (in my world it did anyway).
Mike took Reid to the doctor yesterday and Reid weighs 15 pounds, 16 ounces (which is in the 67th percentile for baby boys his age). He is 26 inches long (which is in 83rd percentile for boys his age).
He was HUNGRY about 2 weeks ago and I gave him rice cereal. It took about 4 spoonfuls for him to figure out that food is where it's at. He had squash last week, and he started peaches today. He wasn't a huge fan - I actually had to mix them in with the cereal. I tasted them myself and they were a little bitter. I get it.
Reid smiles and laughs a lot. His giggle is hysterical. He thinks nutty Evan is the best thing ever. He stares at Evan whenever Evan's doing anything. Evan loves him to pieces (right now). Reid will scoot just a tad when he's on his belly...enough to get to his favorite toy - his crunchy ladybug book.
Evan is loving school. He has made friends and leared how to be a good student. I said the word applesauce the other day and he said, "Criss cross applesauce, close your hands together like this, zip it (his lips), lock it and put it in your pocket." He was sitting like a pretzel with his hands in his lap and looking at me attentively. Nice.
Today he was looking at a poster he made and trying to remember how it went. "One, two, buckle my shoe; three, four, close the door; five, six, pick up sticks; seven, eight, put them down again..." Mike and I looked at each other and laughed too funny.
Here are some not-so-great 4 month pictures of Reid in Papa Chuck's chair. I figured out later that little 4-year-old fingers had gotten the lens dirty. Whoops.
