"Train Trackses" and the Weinermobile

Every day we went to Miss Blake's for swim lessons, we crossed a set of train tracks, and Evan would inform me that they were coming.  These are the only consistently active train tracks in our area since the ones in Fishers only work during the State Fair.  We finally got stopped by a train last week. I used to sigh when I got stopped by a train at any time because it put me behind, but now I think about the face you see in this post and the pure joy on Evan's face.  Time doesn't seem to matter so much when I picture him and his reaction to the trains.

We went to see some friends last Friday, and on our way there we passed the Oscar Meyer Weinermobile going the opposite direction.  On our way home, it was parked at a Kroger.  We stopped and had some pictures taken.  These are the ones from my camera.  Much to Evan's disappointment, we weren't allowed to climb inside and explore, but we did get a sweet weiner whistle.  :-)

We live parallel lives...you do know that right? I had the exact same experience last week. We are IN LOVE WITH TRAINS, Train Tracks, Railroad Crossing Signs, you name it. We were coming home from Dallas on Friday and just as we were pulling up to his favorite set of tracks the arms started going down. I screamed, "Jackpot Ryder!!!! The train is coming!!". I used to hate to get stuck behind trains, too, but this time we just watched with joy as it passed by!
