National Ice Cream Day

A friend of mine on Facebook reminded me about National Ice Cream Day - I remember seeing something about it earlier this month and then forgetting to remember.  Well, we were reminded in time, and so we celebrated with what we had at home (luckily - sometimes we don't have ice cream).  During his presidency, Ronald Reagan declared the 3rd Sunday in July National Ice Cream Day.  Where have I been that I just learned about this 24 years later?  Next year will be plush because I ♥ ice cream....I may even get to Meijer where they sell BLUE BELL ice cream now!  Here are our pics from this year.  Evan loves eating from a cone - he hasn't quite figured out that he can eat the cone though - he usually just puts it down and declares he's finished once he gets to it.

OK...so I just finished off what we had left of Blue Bell Kettle Corn Ice Cream. Sounds weird, but you have to go get some. It is AMAZING!!!! I am just letting you know from one ice cream freak to another. You can't go wrong with Blue Bell, lol.
