Tool Man

Evan has taken to wearing his toolbelt around the house. Cute.

Butter

We were baking last weekend, and Evan decided to run off with the box of butter. He played piano with it before I got it back from him.

Cheeeeeesebergherfwies!

Dad came down for lunch yesterday, so we went to Jimmy Buffett's Cheeseburger in Paradise. I got my camera out and Dad said, "E, say cheeseburger." So, of course, if it's Papa's idea, it's a good one. He said it (you can see his lips contorted kinda funny in the first of the pics). Today I tried to take a picture of him and I said, "Evan, say cheeseburger." Evan said, "Cheeeesebergherfwies!" (cheeseburger fries) all in one breath. He did it again later tonight, and Mike heard it. So funny.

Meijer

Evan often thinks he's too big to sit in the cart at stores (even though he just runs like the wind if he's not strapped in the cart). (Did I ever mention the stage where he would figure out how to wiggle in the straps and stand on his knees backward when he rode in Target carts?) Meijer has invented a nifty little cart that has sides and a Dora the Explorer TV show inside the cart for a mere dollar. We don't go to Meijer but maybe once a month. Yesterday was the first time we tried this out. Wow. I didn't have to hear a little boy scream and have his legs get stiff (or have the poor retired greeter try to talk him into it either) when we got in the cart. I was so tickled, I whipped out my camera and took a picture of him in the cart.

Those aren't whiskers...

...they're cinnamon and sugar. Here is Evan this morning eating almond butter toast with cinnamon and sugar (and playing with his semi trucks). Thank goodness for water and a washrag....

Coffee and Muffins

Evan is interested when I drink coffee from Starbucks. He has seen me drink 2 in the last 3 weeks, so now he thinks he needs coffee. I got a half a cup of decaf at Costco today and he kept saying, "I want coffeeeeeee! Please!" over and over until I gave him the last ounce. That littler stinker drank it and said, "Mmm." He did the same thing with my green tea a couple of weeks ago. He wouldn't leave me alone, so I said, "Here. Have some. It's yucky and you'll be mad at me." He said, "Mmm." I have a lame little picture of Evan with my rinsed out Starbucks cup from this weekend to illustrate my story.

Mike and I each bought a bag of apples without the other one knowing it last week. I baked apple-raisin muffins on Sunday night. Evan was very helpful. He touched each one on the cooling rack so he could inform me they were, "Hot Mom." He even blew on them to cool them off.

Jedi Cloak

Here are a couple of pictures of Evan wearing his make-shift Star Wars Jedi robe around the house.
